i love my 200o Gretsch ssu. love the soundpost and love the low end. when i put in my new powertron and powertron plus it really killed my low end. any thoughts or ideas on how to combat this?. thank you

can you describe what you mean by "killed" your low end"? in the neck position, or the bridge position or middle position? ...and did you mean that the guitar has no
low end anymore just mids and treble? or did you mean the low end has lost its definition?

super mid..super treb..real boxy..like with distortion like brian mayish/jimmy page communication breakdownish..i all positions..i mean..you cant really even tell the differense in the pickups..i ..i usually keep it on the neck position..but its just to bright..too mid..one thing i like about the sound post was haing a thick wobbly low end with defined tone...with thses i got none of that...granted i just got my amp serviced and i need to get my billy brain worked on...and the amp is a 73 fender quad reverb running to my new emperor 2x12 webers...and it aint worked in at all...but i was really hoping the powertron and plus would give me a heavier bass impact...but im not getting that...i use a danelectro fab tone...an old one...for fuzz and distortion...and it used to be great with the amp and guitar...and now its so trebled out its just bad...i used to play with everything dimed and just use the vibrato channel on bright...but now its so treble sharp just wow...and im thinking its the pickups maybe..i should have got these new setzer signature tv jones....but i want good lo low end for what i do with my sound..so..yeah...also i installed the pickups..and i really need to take the guitar in to get serviced

Something is wrong, you should have a more pronounce low mids and the bass should almost feel gibson like, the upper mids are more snarky and punchy with
a smoothed out treble that has really dynamic clarity especially with overdrive. this is setzer using his hotrod with supertrons.
