Pedal Virgin
Tavo,
Lookin' to buy my first effects pedal and I figured you were the guy to ask. I have a volume pedal, and my amp (Supro Sahara) has a gain boost pedal. I tend to play fairly clean and generally at fairly low volume. I'm looking to fatten up my tone, get some more sustain and maybe some grit (but not looking for a metal distortion at all). Sounds like the Atomic Brain? Then going to look for some kind of a reverb, but not over the top. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Pedal Virgin
5120 Gretsch with Filtertrons
Epi Dot with '57 Classics
A Les Paul
and i just scored a '69 Tele Thinline RI. The guy also threw in a Tube Screamer and a Blues Driver. I think I've been deflowered as far as the pedal virgin thing goes!
I still think the space echo thing in the brains sounds like it would work for me.

Although the part of the space echo that I make is the Preamp, I dont build the echo yet. Hearing that you
are not using a gretsch with filtertrons though and you are using humbuckers in both your guitars along with
that bucker'd tele, the Billy Brain would be a more dramatic versatility and particularly with a master
volume amp. My dad is a gibson guy for some reason right now, so he wasnt impressed until I made the
billy brain.
Re: Pedal Virgin
OK Tavo,
I just ordered the 'Billy. I'll let you know how it turns out.

He plays mostly gibson style guitars with PAF humbuckers and a fender blues deville.
Re: Pedal Virgin
So the Billy Brain are made for ''humbucker'' pickups!?

Re: Pedal Virgin
No.. The Billy Brain can be used on anything, i just took its input gain to the Nth level for impedance matching
for those that are using,
Master Volume Amps and really hot pickups. The only draw back on using a Billy Brain with stuff like
a Strat or Tele is that it will sound much brighter or modern than a dynobrain due to that huge bump in
gain. To me thats perfect though for my tele with the bigsby pickups from TK smith to get that bakersfield twang

Okay, for all those new comers (noobs as they say)
The most important thing to consider these days are costly pedals or accessories that advertise one thing and completely fail at it. I two was once like you, what do I buy? what do need?
All I can say is that I that I LOVE MY ATOMIC BRAIN!!
It's really great, simply awesome tone! I have had a lot of overdrive pedals, but this is different.
Now I'm now rocket surgeon, and when comes to technical stuff ??? But I know one thing. Nocturnal pedals can't be beat.
Put your mind at easy, these are the real deal!
