Re: Nocturne Pedals
I need a guitar with Filtertrons again. I had to let my '59 orange single FT Tennessean go 10yrs ago to save my house
Re: Nocturne Pedals
It will sound great with Filters, but it's not limited to Filters. I played mine a ton last night. I used Filters, P90s, Classic 57s, and Nocasters. It sounded great with ALL of them. Very, very versatile. That said I can sympathize with wanting the old Tennessean back. I bet many of us have a guitar or two that we didn't want to sell...but had to. The good news....there are A LOT of good Filtertron loaded guitars out there!!!

Re: Nocturne Pedals
I've got an F Bigsby for it. Get Rutter to make me a bridge. Teles are more comfortable for me than big hollowbodies, although I love them so. I think I'd use tha Cab more than a 5120 with TVJs
Re: Nocturne Pedals
So getting back to the pedal discussion, I heard a rumour that "satin orange" was almost named "Duane Orange." It's so autumnal, orangey-copper-y, that I think the proper color designation is "September Sky Orange."
Tavo posted that great clip of Setzer doing a solo version of September Skies, one of my favorite songs

Re: Nocturne Pedals
I've got about a 4 week turn around at the moment, I lost some momentum a week ago ending up the ER for gall bladder attack. BUT.. I'm back at it.
Re: Nocturne Pedals
Now this is a nice sound!
To go along on the Nocturne wild ride:
Thinline with Bardens and a Bigsby
73 Vibrolux Reverb (blackface cosmetics) and Celestion G10L-35 speakers

Re: Nocturne Pedals
That Tele & I have been together about 19 years. It's seen a lot of miles and Miles, and the "relic'ing" is authentic playing wear.
Back in 2002:
However, it is not a factory Fender. Rather, it is an amalgamation of things I liked about a lot of Teles. Its got a 50's style v-neck and slot-post tuners, with the neck profile modelled after a '57 Musicmaster. The blend on the finish was copied from a 56 P-bass. Barden pickups and a bent switch like Gatton's Tele. The bridge has the "Gatton" notch on the treble side and brass compensated saddles.
The Bigsby is a real vintage F-style I found in the Recycler for $50. The back of the bridge is notched out for the Bigsby. Everybody does this now, but back in 92, when I was building this, I had never seen it done on any guitar before. It occurred to me examining some string-pull B-bender Teles. Anyway, in the early days of the TDP, I posted some pictures of my bridge, and then I started seeing people do it. Anybody can draw their own conclusions, but I'm sure somebody else did it first.
