Re: Welcome to the new forum, tell me about your rocking geetar!
You folks inspired me to dig back into my rockabilly days and find some pictures of the Gretsches I used to have. These are from photo sessions in 1990-1, prior to my discovery of pomade. The band was called The Cheap Dates.
1959 Gretsch Tennessean 6119 - there's a Filtertron under my picking hand. Beautiful guitar, but I had to let it go in 2003. You can see my '56 tweed
Tremolux behind me. Still got that one!
1956 Gretsch Duo Jet. I recorded with it a little bit, but I never quite bonded with it. Lacked some sustain.

Beards are back in! I was feeling self conscious growing a goat again but
fat ass here needed some neck/chin definition.. anyway we went to the moon eyes car
show and everyone looked like a cloned beatnik like me. pomade and a big
beard. I'm fine with that though as I believe I am now in my
koolsville Daddy-O stage of life.
maybe it was von franco that caused the resurgence ??
